2028 Olympic organizers top $2B in commercial revenue
The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games organizing committee said it has surpassed $2 million in domestic sponsorship revenue. This puts the event on track to be the most commercially successful Games in the history of the Olympic movement. Intuit became LA28’s sixth founding partner, joining Google, Honda, Starbucks, Delta and Comcast in the top-paying tier.

The NHL is concerned about the status of the hockey arena for the Milan-Cortina Games. It is said the ice arena surface is about three feet too short. There are no indications the league will pull out of the event. The agreement between the NHL, NHL Players’ Association and International Ice Hockey Federation clearly states the ice in Milan must be built to NHL standards.

Each NFL stadium will have to install new playing surfaces by the start of the 2028 season. The new fields will have to meet the standards set through lab and field testing. NFL field director Nick Pappas will provide each team with a library of approved and accredited NFL field before the start of next season.

Michigan State University announced a new $1 billion capital initiative for its athletics department.
