FanDuel, DraftKings Exit American Gaming Association Due to Prediction Markets
FanDuel and DraftKings ended their membership with the American Gaming Association because of their entry in to the prediction market space. Both companies will launch their own prediction market platforms soon. This has sparked legal issues in states with regulated sports betting, which claim that prediction markets are gambling.

Callaway Offloads Topgolf in $1.1 Billion Sale to PE Firm
The merging of Topgolf and Callaway is off. The company’s stock has plunged at $10.58 per share compared to $37.29 in 2021. Private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners is taking control of Topgolf and Toptracer in a deal that values the business at $1.1 billion. Funds managed by Leonard Green will acquire a 60% stake in Topgolf. The private equity firm already held a 4.9% in Topgolf Callaway Brands.

Women’s soccer team looking at options outside Denver to build stadium
Denver Summit FC is considering other places to build its stadium. City leaders voted to delay a $70 million agreement for the city to purchase the Santa Fe Yards site for the stadium and fund its infrastructure by another month due to questions over how the money will be allocated. The team promised to have a stadium built in time to play in March 2028. If it fails to meet the bid promise, the team could face fines from the league.

Nissan extends backing of Yokohama stadium
Japanese automotive manufacturer Nissan agreed to continue sponsoring Yokohama’s Nissan Stadium for five more years. The deal is worth $4.2 million, which is an increase compared to the current deal. Nissan is headquartered in Yokohama. Nissan has held the naming rights to the stadium since 2005. The J1 League football team Yokohama F. Marinos plays at the stadium and is majority-owned by Nissan.

Cristiano Ronaldo attended the White House when President Donald Trump hosted Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman in the Oval Office on Tuesday. College sports is big business. Senator asks 'whether it is time to rethink tax-exempt' status
The U.S. senator is asking questions about the money being spent on fired college coaches. Maria Cantwell wonders what would happen if NCAA conferences and schools were no longer allowed to operate as tax-exempt organizations. Cantwell brought this up in a letter on Monday to the chief of staff for the U.S. Congress Joint Committee on Taxation. The letter asks for information from the Joint Committee that could help her develop legislative proposals.
