The first round of the NFL Draft on Thursday averaged 13.6 million viewers across all media platforms. This was the second-most watched first round on record. The record remains at 15.5 million viewers in 2020.

Comcast’s financial results for the first fiscal quarter of 2025 revealed that its direct-to-consumer streaming service Peacock narrowed its adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization losses to $215 million.
“As we look ahead, we’ve got NBA coming and sports has been a very key driver of Peacock with NFL, the Olympics, Premier League, the Derby coming up this weekend, I think, Big Ten,” Comcast president Mike Cavanagh said.

Creative Artists Agency, or CAA, had the most first-round picks in the NFL Draft. This is the second consecutive year the agency has done so. Athletes First followed with six first-round picks. The CAA represents Mykel Williams, Derrick Harmon, Omarion Hampton, Matthew Golden, Jaxson Dart, James Pearce Jr. and Maxwell Hairston.

University of South Florida Gets Approval for $340M Football Stadium
The University of South Florida plans to borrow $200 million to build an on-campus stadium for its football and women’s lacrosse teams. The stadium will seat 35,000 and would be significantly smaller than USF football’s current Raymond James Stadium home. The new venue would end the team’s tenure playing at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers stadium.

Shedeur Sanders’ dramatic fall to Day 3 of the NFL draft is still baffling
