Giannis Antetokounmpo Takes Kalshi Stake With Restrictions
Giannis Antetokounmpo is investing in Kalshi through his company Ante Inc. Financial details or the size of his stake were not disclosed. He will appear at live events for the company, in marketing materials and more. Kalshi announced that, “as an active player in the NBA, Antetokounmpo will be forbidden from trading on markets related to the NBA, per Kalshi’s strict terms of service that ban insider trading and market manipulation.”

WNBA submits latest CBA proposal to players, source says
On Friday, the WNBA submitted its latest proposal to the WNBA players’ union. This ended a more than six-week wait from the players’ association for a counter to its last offer. The players wanted around 30% of the gross revenue for the first year of their latest proposal. It wasn't immediately known what the league's new offer entailed.

Italy has thwarted a series of Russian cyberattacks targeting the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. The attacks were on foreign ministry offices, starting with Washington, and also some Winter Olympic sites, including hotels in Cortina. The attacks had affected around 120 sites, including Italy’s embassy in Washington.

Arena Milano makes Olympic debut
Arena Milano is the new venue that is set to be known as Unipol Dome. It staged its first major event with the opening game of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games ice hockey tournaments. Italy’s women’s team beat France 4-1 for its first-ever victory at a Winter Olympics tournament. The game had 9,356 fans in attendance.

Buck Martinez retiring as Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster after more than 4,000 games
Toronto Blue Jays broadcaster Buck Martinez announced his retirement. He’s been a part of more than 4,000 games dating back to 1987. Martinez used to be a catcher for the Blue Jays from 1981-86. Overall, he played 17 seasons in the MLB. He also managed the Blue Jays in 2001 and most of 2002, leading the team to a 100-115 record.

Court storming halts final seconds of Carolina-Duke as Scheyer describes 'scary' scene; UNC AD apologizes
No. 14 North Carolina had a huge comeback to beat No. 4 Duke 71-68 on Saturday. Fans stormed the court after Seth Trimble made the buzzer-beating game-winning three-pointer. However, it was determined there were still .4 seconds on the clock. The fans had to clear the court for the remaining time, and then they stormed it again when the official final buzzer went off. Duke coach Jon Scheyer said people were getting punched in the court storm.
