GOLFZON Takes Its Golf Simulator Revolution From Delhi to Nashville
South Korean sports technology company GOLFZON is expanding its global footprint by launching its first U.S. CityGolf venue in Nashville, Tennessee, billed as the country's first full 18-hole indoor simulator golf course. The venue features advanced TwoVision NX simulators, moving swing plates that mimic real terrain slopes, and synthetic greens where players walk over to finish out each hole. Building on the success of its earlier international expansions like Delhi Golfzon in India, the company aims to scale this hybrid simulator-hospitality model to 10–15 American locations by 2030.

Explosion of sports card values for players dubbed the GOAT on display at the 46th annual National Sports Collectors Convention
The sports card market is experiencing an unprecedented price surge for all-time great athletes ("GOATs") like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, and Shohei Ohtani, driven by high-net-worth investors and international buyers seeking top-tier assets. This trend was on full display at the 46th annual National Sports Collectors Convention, highlighted by monumental sales like an $11 million one-of-one Ohtani autograph card and a steady rise in values for vintage staples like the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle. Industry experts attribute this booming market to limited card supply, an increased focus on card centering and eye appeal, and collectors treating rare sports memorabilia as safe, high-value alternative investments.

Ian Karmel, others paid to rally support for Moda Center funding deal
A Portland lobbyist group called We Are Rip City has hired local influencers, including comedian Ian Karmel and several area business owners, to post social media content advocating for public funding toward a $600 million Moda Center renovation. The campaign aims to rally support ahead of an upcoming City Council vote by warning that the Portland Trail Blazers could leave the city without the venue upgrade. While creator fees were paid to personalize the issue for thousands of followers, the effort has drawn mixed reactions from community members who question spending public funds on sports arenas rather than essential civic services.
