Kalshi Hit With Nationwide Class Action Over ‘Illegal Sports Betting’
Kalshi is accused of operating an unlicensed sports gambling platform that misleads customers into thinking they are getting fairer odds than traditional sports books. However, this isn’t the case. A class action lawsuit was field with seven named plaintiffs who claim they were deceived into losing money. It seeks to recover the money they have bet on the platform, and demands a jury trial with the potential for damages to be tripled.

Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Signs Adidas Contract Extension, Includes QB's Own Golf Line
Patrick Mahomes will debut a new golf line as part of a multi-year extension with adidas. He has been with the company since before his rookie NFL season in 2017. Mahomes released his signature shoe in 2021. He was earning an estimated $28 million from endorsement deals this year prior to his latest extension.

Fubo offers credit to customers after NBCUniversal pulls the plug
NBCUniversal’s channels were pulled from Fubo on Nov. 21 after a failed agreement. Fubo claimed the network wanted to add non-sports channels that the streaming platform said would drive up costs. NBCUniversal said it offered fair rates and terms during negotiations. Fubo will offer a credit of $15 to customers’ next billing cycle if the blackout continues.

Union Omaha plans new stadium, Detroit City FC project approved
Union Omaha announced plans for a new downtown stadium and mixed-use district. United Soccer League club Detroit FC received council approval for its own 15,000-seat stadium project. Union Omaha is partnered with the City of Omaha. They are planning to break ground on its new stadium in 2026. The venue is planned to open in 2028.

Brian Kelly set for $54M payout after suing LSU over contract buyout dispute resolution process
Brian Kelly received the remainder of the $54 million owed to him after a lawsuit filed by Kelly claimed the school attempted to avoid paying up. He claimed the school told his representatives that they had not officially terminated him and were instead looking to fire him for cause. However, Kelly received a letter from the school stating he had been officially terminated without cause.

Duke uses unique promotion to fill student section for Wake Forest game
During Thanksgiving, many students head home. This means the student section at the team’s Saturday game has the possibility of being smaller than usual. This is why Duke’s athletic department announced a deal where fans could sit in the student section while also having a parking pass for the game for free. It took less than 24 hours for all 4,000 tickets to be claimed.
