NFL Expands TikTok Playbook With Renewed Deal
The NFL and TikTok have announced a multi-year extension of their partnership ahead of the 2026 season to expand the league’s official presence and fan engagement on the platform. As part of the expanded deal, the NFL will participate in TikTok GamePlan to build dedicated league hubs and maintain its placement on the Pulse Premiere advertising platform for member clubs. Additionally, TikTok’s Pro Events framework will launch a dedicated NFL fan hub featuring exclusive content, trending videos, and interactive fan rewards.

No More Adidas: Como to Produce Own Kits From 2027-28
Italian Serie A club Como 1907 will end its kit partnership with Adidas following the 2026–27 season to begin manufacturing its own kits and technical apparel in-house. Driven by rapid commercial growth and a desire for creative control, the decision stems from their current deal being a value-in-kind arrangement without direct sponsorship fees. Starting in the 2027–28 season, the club plans to use this in-house production model to potentially supply sportswear to other football clubs as well.

Buffalo Bills to replace grass at new stadium
The Buffalo Bills are replacing the entire natural grass field at their new Highmark Stadium after widespread damage, including chunks and bald patches, occurred during their preseason opener. Chris Plonsky to retire from current role at Texas at end of 2026-27 academic year
Longtime University of Texas athletics administrator Chris Plonsky will step down from her position as Chief of Staff, Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, and Senior Woman Administrator at the conclusion of the 2026–27 academic year. Currently in her 39th year with UT, Plonsky has served in numerous leadership positions since joining the university in 1982, including 15 years as Director of Women’s Athletics and earning inductions into multiple sports halls of fame. Following her retirement from her executive duties, she will remain involved with Texas Athletics in a new role that will be announced at a later date.
