BNP Paribas Open responds to criticism about Stadium 2 ticketing
The BNP Paribas Open announced a single-day attendance record on March 6. There were 58,828 people who attended the Indian Wells tennis tournament. While the attendance has been high this year, several matches inside Stadium 2 have been slightly attended. It is because of the ticketing adjustment organizers made prior to this year’s event. Daily grounds passes granted access to the upper bowl inside Stadium 2. Stadium 1 tickets also allowed ticket holders to access the Stadium 2 upper bowl. That access was restricted this year to only those who held Stadium 2 tickets.
