Shell Introduces “Race Day Rewards” Program For 2026 Race Season
Shell announced a new and rewarding program for fans and all consumers tied to the 2026 NASCAR Cup Series race season. Starting with Sunday’s race in Daytona, Shell Fuel Rewards members can save 22¢ per gallon on all grades of Shellgasoline when opting in to the offer and filling up on race day. Fans and consumers who are not Shell Fuel Rewards members can simply download the Shell App to join Fuel Rewards and opt in to the offer to redeem the season-long benefit that runs the entire 10-month season from February to November.

Chicago Fire FC Unveils New “Forever Red" Kit to Heat Up 2026 Season
Chicago Fire FC revealed its new “Forever Red” kit in collaboration with MLS and adidas. Chicago’s upcoming season, driven by Carvana, begins on Saturday, Feb. 21. Carvana is featured on the front of the kit. On Saturday, Feb. 14, the Fire is partnering with West Loop coffeehouse Drip Collective for a kit launch community event.

YouTube TV announced pricing and other details about its lineup of slimmed-down bundles organized around specific programming like sports, news and entertainment. The sports-focused package has drawn the most initial attention. The bundle will cost $64.99 a month, or $54.99 a month for the first year for new subscribers. The new bundles are rolling out this week.

Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings enter broadcast partnership with Major League Baseball
Ilitch Sports + Entertainment has entered its first of its kind partnership with the MLB. It will provide broadcast to both the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit Red Wings. The broadcasts will start at the beginning of the 2026 seasons for both teams. This partnership creates a new platform where fans throughout the teams’ home television territories, including all of Michigan, can watch games and other content when and where they want.

Constellation to power Titans’ new stadium
Constellation is a clean energy provider. The company has struck and long-term deal to power New Nissan Stadium. The 20-year agreement will see Constellation maintain the stadium’s energy system once it opens in 2027. The energy system will be responsible for supplying heating and cooling for the 60,000-capacity stadium.

Oregon lawmakers consider bill to renovate Moda Center into 'world class destination'
Oregon Senate President Rob Wagner has introduced legislation that would direct funds to renovate Moda Center in Portland. Wagner’s bill would allow the state to join a multi-jurisdictional agreement to renovate the arena into a “world class destination for events.” Some are worried that if the arena is not renovated or there is no new facility alongside new ownership, they could see a repeat of what happened to the Seattle Supersonics, when the team moved to Oklahoma City under the name “Thunder.”

Serena Williams Eligible to Make Pro Tennis Return This Month
Serena Williams can return to tennis in less than two weeks. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion will be eligible to play professional tennis starting Feb. 22. The eligibility date is six months after Williams re-entered the drug testing pool. Williams has been the face of GLP-1 medications for Ro, a telehealth company her husband Alexis Ohanian is an investor in. The ITIA prohibits substances based on WADA’s list.

Charles Bediako denied injunction against NCAA eligibility rules as Alabama return ends after five games
A judge denied Alabama basketball player Charles Bediako’s motion seeking a preliminary injunction against NCAA eligibility rules. Bediako returned to the Crimson Tide after signing an NBA contract and playing in the G League. He will no longer be permitted to play college basketball under NCAA bylaws.
