U.S. Gymnastics Olympic Leotard Early Reveal Boosts GK Elite Brand
U.S. gymnastics is in the spotlight today after revealing the leotards that will be worn for the Olympics. This is the first time the U.S. uniforms have been revealed in advance of the Olympic competition. GK Elite is a small-town company that makes the women’s leotards. It is their second Olympics as the official partner for USA Gymnastics. GK has a global market share of more than 60% for gymnastics apparel.

NBA Agrees to $76 Billion in Media-Rights Deals, but TNT Still Looms
The NBA set in stone its media-rights deal with NBC, Amazon and ESPN, which cover 11 years and are worth $76 billion in total. However, TNT Sports is still trying to keep its rights by using contractual language.

“Right now, though, sources have told Front Office Sports that TNT has no contacts in front of it to match yet. At that point, Zaslav’s TNT will have roughly five days to match one of the offers—or wave the NBA goodbye after a 40-year relationship.”

Luiten’s court victory to get into Olympic golf competition not recognized by IOC
Joost Luiten has been on the move trying to get into the Olympics. He won the battle in a Dutch court, but it wasn’t enough for the International Olympic Committee. The IOC denied the request to add him in the Paris Games.

“When they entered him, we already had moved forward with the process,” Scanlan said, meaning the IGF submitted the list of golfers with the two alternates for the Dutch players. “What I had to do then was write to the IOC and ask for an exemption on the 60-player limit and allow 61 players.”

LA Sparks Sign 5-year Extension To Play Home Games At Crypto.com Arena
The LA Sparks will continue to play home games at Crypto.com Arena through 2029. The Sparks are one of the WNBA’s original eight teams. They have been playing at the arena since 2001 and have won three league championships.

“We’ve made a lot of history in this building, and I’m excited to witness more defining moments in the future,” Sparks managing partner and governor Eric Holoman said.

FSU Expands Legends Deal As Sixth Street Talks Continue
Florida State University expanded its contact with Sixth Street-owned Legends for 10 years. The school is suing to try and exit the ACC. They are exploring different avenues to close the revenue gap between itself and rivals, such as a potential private capital infusion.

“FSU “understands the importance of aligning revenue streams to position for success in the new collegiate landscape,” Mike Behan, president of Legends College, said in a statement. “The recent NCAA settlement has further emphasized the need for universities to explore innovative ways to optimize their commercial potential.”
