Diamondbacks Air Conditioning Overwhelmed by Arizona Heat Wave
The Diamondbacks play at Chase Field which is 26 years old. The MLB has spent more than a year trying to develop a framework to upgrade the ballpark. The Phoenix heat has been taxing the facility’s air-conditioning system. The city has had 79 consecutive days of at least 100 degrees. The air conditioning is working hard to keep the facility filled with the team and a 17% increase in fans at 75 degrees.

Tampa Bay Lightning up for sale at ‘US$2bn’ valuation
The NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning is up for sale for a reported valuation cost close to $2 billion. NHL franchise’s majority owner Jeff Vinik acquired the Lightning for $170 million in 2010 and is in talks with Blue Owl Capital’s Doug Ostrover over a record deal.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have announced financial technology company Sezzle as their new jersey patch partner. The deal includes in-arena signage, in-game promotions and community events. Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore is looking forward to the release of the text messages sent/received by former low-level recruiting staffer Connor Stalions. Moore is continuing to cooperate with the NCAA in its investigation. The NCAA already put Michigan on three years of probation along with a fine and recruiting limits after reaching a negotiated resolution in the case.
