U.S. Women’s Hockey Team Won’t Commit to White House Visit
President Donald Trump indicated the U.S. women’s hockey team will soon be joining him at the White House. It is unclear if the visit will actually take place. The USA Hockey spokesperson said that the team is honored to receive the invite but remain noncommittal. This is due to the women being in the middle of their professional and collegiate seasons.

The brand will have a significant presence at USA Gymnastics’ televised events, including as presenting partner for the Artistic World Championships women’s team selection show. P&G and its brands have a history of partnership with USA Gymnastics dating back to 2006.

Owl AI signs deal with SMX League
Officiating and judging platform Owl AI has signed with SuperMotocross League. SMX joins Owl’s AI trailblazer program in an effort to collaborate toward innovation and comes with financial commitment from the league. The deal will help enhance the viewing experience for Peacock and SMX Video Pass to enable more language translation capabilities so that the league can reach a more international audience.

Amid Delays, Dallas Wings Find Themselves in Middle of Convention Center Development Drama
The Dallas city council grilled the Director of Convention and Event Service for the city, Rosa Fleming, on a number of issues regarding delays and cost overruns with the larger Kay Hutchinson Convention Center project. The Wings are a key part of the redevelopment plan, operating as an anchor tenant in a renovated downtown arena and getting a brand new purpose-built practice facility in the West Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas.

NBC likely moving on from Tony Dungy in NFL broadcast shakeup, per report
Tony Dungy’s time at NBC is reportedly on the verge of ending. The Hall of Fame coach is likely out as a regular on the network’s “Football Night in America” Sunday pregame show. While NBC could reverse course, the move would be part of a revamp for the show. There's also reportedly a possibility NBC gives him an emeritus role like it did with Bob Costas and Al Michaels, where he officially remains with the network but in a reduced role.

Cincinnati sues Sorsby over $1M exit fee after Texas Tech transfer
Cincinnati sued former quarterback Brendan Sorsby in federal court Wednesday. The college alleged he breached his NIL contract with the Bearcats when he refused to pay a $1 million exit fee after he transferred to Texas Tech. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Cincinnati seeks $1 million in liquidated damages, which the school said Sorsby was contractually obligated to pay within 30 days of transferring.

SEC, Big Ten study: Pooling TV rights 'dangerously unworkable' and not as profitable as suggested
A study commissioned by the Southeastern Conference and Big Ten concluded that allowing conferences to pool their media rights would generate less revenue than if the league continues to the decades-old practice of selling its own games. The pooling idea was a key proposal among some looking to solve money problems in college sports. The study failed to produce more revenue than the current conference structure. It also introduces a dangerously unworkable model and new risks to the college sports landscape.
