UFC doubles fight night bonuses, adds incentive for every finish
The UFC doubled the amount of its fight night bonus structure. They are also awarding a bonus for every single finish inside the Octagon. The new bonus structure took place on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas at UFC 324. Traditionally, the UFC has awarded four $50,000 bonuses at every event. The bonuses will now be worth $100,000. UFC will also hand out a $25,000 bonus to every athlete who records a finish but fails to win one of the $100,000 bonuses.

There was a five week trial last year following a lawsuit McLaren Racing filed when Alex Palou backed out of two different agreements. London’s High Court has now ordered Palou to pay McLaren Racing more than $12 million for the breach of contract lawsuit. McLaren was originally seeking $30 million in damages.

TaylorMade CEO Says Company Could Be Sold by End of 2026
David Abeles is the CEO of TaylorMade. He said that the multi-billion dollar golf-equipment manufacturer could have a new owner by the end of the year. The company is one of the largest club- and ball-makers in gold. It has major deals with stars like Tiger Woods, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Golf-focused investment firm Old Tom Capital submitted a preliminary bid for TaylorMade worth around $3 billion.

The Washington Post decided they will not be covering the Winter Olympics in Italy. They made the decision just two weeks before the events were scheduled to begin. The company had secured 14 credentials for Milan Cortina and paid for flights, housing and office space at the Olympic site. Multiple journalists had already booked their own travel, while management approved all spending along the way, including $80,000 in housing costs.

DI Cabinet approves commercial patches for uniforms, equipment and apparel
The Division I Cabinet approved the proposal that will allow DI sports programs to place additional commercial logos or patches on the uniforms, equipment and apparel. This will be allowed for any non-NCAA championship competition, including the regular season. Effective Aug. 1, all Division I teams will be permitted up to two additional commercial logos on their uniforms and apparel and one additional commercial logo on equipment during the preseason and regular season, with an additional commercial logo on uniforms and apparel for conference championships. The patches will be limited to a maximum of 4 square inches per logo.
