Good morning! TNF had a huge amount of viewers and fans don’t live MNF doubleheaders.

Prime Video sees its best ‘TNF’ figure yet with Cowboys-Giants
Thursday’s Cowboys vs. Giants match surpassed Prime Video’s previous TNF record. The last record was the Vikings vs. Eagles game, which had 15.05 million viewers. The Cowboys vs. Giants game in Week 4 had 16.22 million viewers.

How Karl-Anthony Towns’s Trade to New York Got Delayed in Serbia
The Knicks agreed to a trade for Karl-Anthony Towns, the No. 1 pick in 2015 and a four-time All-Star in Minnesota. New York sent back Julius Randle, whose 2019 signing ultimately brought them to this point of title contention. The trade is still not official because the Knights are scrambling to comply with the restrictions under the NBA’s first apron in the new collective bargaining agreement. Towns recently signed a four-year $220 million extension. Neither team can take on additional money in trades because their payrolls exceed that first $178 million apron.

Brooklyn Nets sew up GetYourGuide jersey patch sponsorship
The Brooklyn Nets have signed a new deal with GetYourGuide that sees the online travel activities marketplace become the franchise’s new jersey patch partner. The GetYourGuide logo will be on the left shoulder of all Nets jerseys. The company will receive international marketing rights to promote its partnership both in the New York market and outside the U.S.

Is ESPN’s ‘MNF’ Doubleheader Strategy Hurting Viewership?
Monday night had another doubleheader for the NFL. Last week, many fans voiced their criticism of the overlapping games after Week 3. ESPN is paying the NFL an average of $2.7 billion per year under the league’s current $110 billion media-rights deals. There are a record 21 Monday Night Football games thanks to the continued increase in doubleheaders. There are four this year, up from three last season and just one in 2022.

The Jacksonville and Charlotte city councils both approved major renovations of their cities’ NFL stadiums with one key difference. EverBank Stadium, home of the Jaguars, will get a roof. Bank of America Stadium, home of the Panthers, will not get a roof. The Jaguars stadium is 29 years old, and the Panthers stadium is 28 years old.

AP Top 25: Alabama is the new No. 1 after defeating Georgia; Ole Miss, Utah, Louisville plunge
Alabama beat Georgia 41-34 on Saturday night. Alabama is now No. 1 in the AP Top 25 poll. They moved up from No. 4. Georgia dropped to No. 5 in the rankings. Texas is now ranked No. 2 since Alabama took the No. 1 spot. UNLV entered the poll for the first time in history at No. 25.

Report: SEC, Big Ten looking for 4 automatic bids each to College Football Playoff
The Big Ten and SEC could come together on a scheduling partnership. The conferences would prefer to have potentially four automatic bids each playoff when the next contract begins in 2026.
“CFP leaders haven’t determined yet what the playoff will look like beyond this season and next. Some said they need to know that before making any decisions about future scheduling partnerships.”
