WNBA CBA negotiations: League's latest offer would raise minimum salary above 2025 maximum, per report
The WNBA made a new collective bargaining agreement offer. The offer would raise the minimum salary above the 2025 maximum. It would include a max salary above $1 million for the first time in league history. The $1.1 million-plus maximum salary would be available to multiple players per team. The offer increases the average salary from $102,249 to $460,000+.

The LPGA released its 2026 competition schedules. The updated purses for all five majors haven’t been announced. The LPGA increased the non-major purse to over $132 million, which includes bumps from 10 tournaments. The Fortinet Founders Cup ($3 million) and Buick LPGA Shanghai ($3.2 million) each boast $1 million-plus increases.

MLB is set to announce a short-term national media rights deal with ESPN, NBC and Netflix. ESPN is expected to retain approximately 30 national games through the 2028 season. The Mariners, Diamondbacks, Twins, Guardians, Padres and Rockies are teams participating in the streaming agreement. The MLB.tv package will be accessible via both ESPN and MLB platforms initially. While the local streaming rights for the six clubs will launch on MLB’s platform.
