WNBA players union votes to authorize strike as deadline for new contract approaches
The WNBA players’ association announced that its members voted to authorize a strike if necessary. The extended Jan. 9 deadline for contract negotiations with the league is coming up. A new collective bargaining agreement is still not decided on. It was supposed to be finalized on Oct. 31. Players are willing to withhold their labor as leverage in the negotiations.

Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, his children and three others were killed in a plane crash in North Carolina on Thursday. The Iredell County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Fox News Digital that there were seven fatalities in the crash. The crash happened around 10:20am ET at the Statesville Regional Airport.
