WNBA Players Shift Tone on Labor Talks: ‘Rev Share Is a Win’
The WNBA and WNBPA have been negotiating a collective bargaining agreement for more than a year and are now eight days out from the league’s latest deadline: March 10, after which the league says the season faces delays. In recent days, the players’ tone has shifted. Multiple members of the union’s executive committee spoke to reporters in Brooklyn on Monday. In the league’s Sunday night new proposal, they did not move its revenue-sharing.

PGA of America Extends Ryder Cup Deal With NBC and Versant
The Ryder Cup will remain mostly on NBC through at least the 2033 edition in San Francisco. The PGA of America has signed a two-year extension of its current media rights agreement with NBC Sports and USA Sports, which includes the U.S. TV rights to the Ryder Cup, KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, Senior PGA Championship and the PGA Professional Championships. The previous media rights deal, which was signed in 2013, originally ran through 2030 and was extended by one year to 2031 due to the Ryder Cup at Whistling Straits being delayed from 2020 to 2021.

Ticketmaster and Live Nation's antitrust trial begins in New York
Ticketmaster and its parent company Live Nation are set to face trial on Tuesday over U.S. claims that the entertainment conglomerate dominated live event markets in ways that hurt artists, venues and fans. The jury trial will push to tackle affordability through antitrust crackdowns. The case was filed in 2024. The DOJ is expected to argue that Live Nation holds illegal monopolies in certain venue and ticketing markets.

Paramount, Warner Bros merger boosts incredible sports portfolio
The Paramount deal with Warner Bros. has created a monopoly on sports coverage. Paramount revealed that the entertainment giant plans to acquire Warner Bros. Discovery. Between CBS Sports and TNT Sports coverage, the proposed acquisition presents a huge opportunity for sports leagues to be consumed by fans under the same umbrella. That includes the NFL, golf’s PGA Tour, the NCAA Tournament, as well as UFC and soccer’s UEFA Champions League.

Unrivaled’s two semifinal games on Monday night at Barclays Center in New York City drew a sellout crowd of 18,261.
